- We have installed win 3.1 on Novell 3.11 in the following manner
-
-
- setup /a to copy all windows files onto the fileserver and uncompress them
-
- setup /n to create the user/machine specific win.ini etc. files and store them
- on the fileserver also, but in user specific directories.
-
-
- QUESTION: When a user logs on to a machine that they ordinarily do not
- (non-normal log on machine) Windows crashes, as the machine expects
- its (its normal log onner's) ini files but gets the visitor log onner's ini
- files. This crash cause makes sense, but is there some kind of workaround ?
-
- Is there an elegant solution where all files are still on the server ?
-
- And secondly, is there a good FTP site for NOVELL/Windows LAN stuff ?
-
-
- Thanks, ERIC SEAN WEBBER ewebber@access.digex.com
