- I'm having trouble with a 1/4 inch tape drive installed on
- a 5000/240 using Ultrix 4.2a. I've tried different combinations
- of rmt1h, rmt1l and rmt1m trying to see what density it supports.
- It responds to the mt commands, but tar causes it to hang up
- and the process can't be kill -9'd. Here's the ps line -
-
- F UID PID PPID CP PRI NI ADDR SZ RSS WCHAN STAT TT TIME COMMAND
- 10008001 268 3455 216 2 -5 0 d88 60 32 baf00 D p0 0:00 tar
- -tf /dev/rmt1m
-
- Nothing changes, and I can't kill it without rebooting. Any suggestions
- would be appreciated.
