- We are trying to change the hostnames and IP addresses of a number of DMS
- clients running Ultrix 4.3.
-
- From the FAQ (and experience) we know how to change a client's IP address.
-
- But how do we change it's hostname so that DMS refers to it by that name
- also? (I would prefer not to build a new client and then modify all it's
- configuration files...) Can we simply rename the /dlclient0/client.root
- directory and edit some magic DMS files?
- Can anyone suggest a recipe we should follow?
-
- Thanks for your time, I will summarise.
- Bevin Steer.
- PS I have received only one reply to my "Can we have more than 2 swap
- partitions" question...I have not yet had time to investigate and
- summarise it....but will do so! :-(
