- I would call Telebit Technical Support (from Moscow?) about this.
- There a LOT of undocumented registers beyond 255, accessible by using the
- AT~D1 command. After this command is issued, do a AT&V and see all those neat
- registers!
- Telebit has told me about two of them, 500 and 501. Both have something
- to do with PEP (not pertinent here, but good for an example). They have
- something to do with compression, or window sizes, or packet size negotiation
- or something. Don't remember what they did, just what values to use to get
- better speed under certain conditions.
- I would ask them if any of these registers will cure the problem. They
- are VERY helpfull in the area of getting their modems to work correctly under
- strange conditions. And not just registers could be at fault. It may be the
- version of the firmware in the modems, etc. etc.
