  13. I'm posting this for Jim Jagielski, whose news feed is currently down.

  15. There seems to be a conflict of sorts between A/UX 3.0's syslogd and v1.16 of
  16. the HDB UUCP (available from aux.support.apple.com): when you install the new
  17. UUCP, it replaces dial.o in libc.a and libc_s.a; unfortunately, this breaks
  18. syslogd (as you can see by compiling the code Jim posted earlier in the day).

  20. Does anyone at Apple have any good ideas about how to fix this?  [I'm assuming
  21. that downgrading dial.o in libc_.a and libc_s.a will break the new UUCP.]
