- Ok we got it,

- thanks to Thomas Braunbeck (Fuzzy) from the Mainz Software Support Center.
- xlC is working ok if your LOCALE environment is En_US. The system the
- customer was working on was switched to the german language environment.

- If you are working with the xlC compiler in a different LOCALE than En_US
- call the IBM defect support team to open a PMR (you need your IBM customer
- number for this). Please reference your problem to APAR IX31639. The
- patch will be send to you.
