- Hello folks! Let me report a problem I,m having and that (I hope...)
- will have a simple answer.
-
- I have a SPARC 2 running SunOS 4.1.1. with a MONOCHROME 19'' monitor.
- Although I use Xwindows, I prefer to work with the OpenWindows
- texteditor windows and command tools. However, the background is WHITE
- and the foreground is black, so I wanted to change these two colors.
- I've tried the obvious things:
- -alter the variables in ~/Xdefaults file,
- -run the commands from command lines (e.g. cmdtooll -fg white -bg
- black..)
- -even alter the /bin/openwin/lib/Xdefaults file .
-
- However, nothing happened. If I change the Icon position, scrollbar,
- etc, the changes are undestoood but in what relates to the window
- colour the parameters are ignored. I know that it doesn't happen with
- colour monitors.
-
- Thanks for listening and if someone knows the "trick" please let me
- know
-
- J. Augusto.
