  14. Hello folks! Let me report a problem I,m having and that (I hope...)
  15. will have a simple answer.

  17. I have a SPARC 2 running SunOS 4.1.1. with a MONOCHROME 19'' monitor.
  18. Although I use Xwindows, I prefer to work with the OpenWindows
  19. texteditor windows and command tools. However, the background is WHITE
  20. and the foreground is black, so I wanted to change these two colors.
  21. I've tried the obvious things:
  22. -alter the variables in ~/Xdefaults file,
  23. -run the commands from command lines (e.g. cmdtooll -fg white -bg
  24. black..)
  25. -even alter the /bin/openwin/lib/Xdefaults file .

  27. However, nothing happened. If I change the Icon position, scrollbar,
  28. etc, the changes are undestoood but in what relates to the window
  29. colour the parameters are ignored. I know that it doesn't happen with
  30. colour monitors.
