  15. During the next few month, I will have to write software using SPARC
  16. assembly language. I am looking for something along the lines of
  17. "Tips and tricks..." that cover the not so obvious aspects of using
  18. assembly language on SPARC. I do own the SPARC architecture manual,
  19. version 8, and a copy of the "SPARC technical papers". Although, the
  20. manuals for the assembler are available to me. I also have plenty of
  21. experience programming in assembler on CISC architectures such as Z80,
  22. 80x86/80x87 and 680x0. So I am really looking for something that doesn't
  23. explain the basics (e.g. 'What is a macro?') but that deals with more
  24. arcane features of the SPARC architecture. Being used to a flat register
  25. file, I am also worried a bit about this register windowing stuff. FYI,
  26. the software will be used on SUN-Workstations under the Solaris OS. Any
  27. pointers are appreciated. Please reply by email, as I don't have the
  28. chance to follow this newsgroup on a regular basis. I will post a summary
  29. of all replies received. Thanks for your help in advance.
