- YES! There now is one. This question has been asked by many people (myself
- included) many times, but now the answer is not "no, unless you want to buy
- MDS, which is outdated.... or use THINK C's inline assembler..., or better
- get MPW... If you look in the demo directory at sumex-aim.stanford.edu
- there is a shareware assembler ($65 fee) called MacAssembler. I forget just
- what it is called in that directory, but you will not have trouble finding
- it. I have had a look at it, and it looks nice. It was written by the same
- guy that put out the book so many of us know and love, "Assembly Language
- and Systems Programming for the M68000 family." I wish I could get my school's
- CS department to switch from MDS to this MacAssembler, as it is actually
- up-to-date and everything. THings is, then they'd have an excuse to get rid
- of the SE's and use system 7. Oh nooooooooo!
