  25. I have a 386 system with a similar setup - 200 MB IDE HD and a SCSI CD-ROM.
  26. I haven't tried a SCSI HD or tape drive with the system; but, according to the
  27. docs., it should work.

  29. A 486 should not have any problems.  You just can't have two IDE controllers
  30. in your system :-(.  I prefer SCSI because, on my system, I only have one
  31. custom config for a HD.  Therefore, I have to use an identical drive if I want
  32. to add a second drive.  And that is only if it will work as a slave.
