- I have a 386 system with a similar setup - 200 MB IDE HD and a SCSI CD-ROM.
- I haven't tried a SCSI HD or tape drive with the system; but, according to the
- docs., it should work.

- A 486 should not have any problems. You just can't have two IDE controllers
- in your system :-(. I prefer SCSI because, on my system, I only have one
- custom config for a HD. Therefore, I have to use an identical drive if I want
- to add a second drive. And that is only if it will work as a slave.
