- The 550 carries both black and color cartridge at
- the same time.
- This improves printing quality of colored
- pictures a lot, expecially within dark or black
- regions, because the 3 colors YCM together should
- be black but they are not. (like dark grey-brown, but not
- real dark black !)
- From printing technology, they call this phenomenon
- in Germany "Unbunt-Ausgleich", I don't know the english
- word for it, but it means, that you take away about
- 35% of the color intensity (equally for all 3 colors)
- and replace this with black color, so you get the result
- which is in many magazines and newspapers known as
- 4-color-print !
