  13. The 550 carries both black and color cartridge at
  14. the same time.
  15. This improves printing quality of colored
  16. pictures a lot, expecially within dark or black
  17. regions, because the 3 colors YCM together should 
  18. be black but they are not. (like dark grey-brown, but not
  19. real dark black !) 
  20. From printing technology, they call this phenomenon
  21. in Germany "Unbunt-Ausgleich", I don't know the english 
  22. word for it, but it means, that you take away about 
  23. 35% of the color intensity (equally for all 3 colors)
  24. and replace this with black color, so you get the result
  25. which is in many magazines and newspapers known as 
  26. 4-color-print !

  28. In addition, you don't have to worry about where to
  29. put the other cartridge !
