- I am currently looking for a tape backup that connects to the parallel
- port and I've narrowed down to MicroSolutions' Backpack and Colorado's
- Trakker (250 MB).
-
- Seems that people have encountered reliability problems (re articles from
- this group) with the Trakker but I have yet to see any comments on the
- Backpack.
-
- The cost of Backpack (from mail order houses) seem to be slightly higher,
- and from info received from the respective companies, Backpack is rated
- slightly faster (9 mb/min vs 8 mb/min).
-
- MicroSolutions also makes hard drives and floppies that they claim can
- be daisy chained together (are they SCCI devices?).
-
- Are there any comments as to which is better?
