  11. I am currently looking for a tape backup that connects to the parallel
  12. port and I've narrowed down to MicroSolutions' Backpack and Colorado's
  13. Trakker (250 MB).

  15. Seems that people have encountered reliability problems (re articles from
  16. this group) with the Trakker but I have yet to see any comments on the
  17. Backpack.

  19. The cost of Backpack (from mail order houses) seem to be slightly higher, 
  20. and from info received from the respective companies, Backpack is rated
  21. slightly faster (9 mb/min vs 8 mb/min).

  23. MicroSolutions also makes hard drives and floppies that they claim can
  24. be daisy chained together (are they SCCI devices?).
  25.  
  26. Are there any comments as to which is better?
