I have a Mitsubishi Diamondscan AUM-1381 monitor with a power switch
that's acting up.  I've had the monitor for a bit over two years and this
problem has just been occurring recently.  What happens is that when I
push in the power button (it's a button, not a rocker switch) the power
flickers on for a moment and then turns back off.  If I hold the button in
the power stays on, but only for as long as I'm holding it in.  Is there
an easy way to fix these?  Do I need a replacement switch?  Opening up the
monitor case and looking inside (yes, the warranty has long since
expired), it looks as though I need to take the whole thing apart in order
to get at the power switch.  Another thing I noticed is that there appears
to be black electrical tape wrapped around the guts of the power switch.  Is
this normal, or was my monitor tampered with before I bought it?
