- I have a Mitsubishi Diamondscan AUM-1381 monitor with a power switch
- that's acting up. I've had the monitor for a bit over two years and this
- problem has just been occurring recently. What happens is that when I
- push in the power button (it's a button, not a rocker switch) the power
- flickers on for a moment and then turns back off. If I hold the button in
- the power stays on, but only for as long as I'm holding it in. Is there
- an easy way to fix these? Do I need a replacement switch? Opening up the
- monitor case and looking inside (yes, the warranty has long since
- expired), it looks as though I need to take the whole thing apart in order
- to get at the power switch. Another thing I noticed is that there appears
- to be black electrical tape wrapped around the guts of the power switch. Is
- this normal, or was my monitor tampered with before I bought it?
-
- Followups via E-mail please. Thanks in advance.
