- I've got a 66MHz 486 with VESA LB, Orchid Fahrenheit VLB 1MB display
- card, UltraStor 34F LB SCSI adapter in a CONTAQ motherboard with UMC
- chipset.
-
- My problem is that in windows in the accelerated modes if I make
- a window over about half the screen height, when I move it I get
- vertical lines left from the window outline as it is being dragged.
- Occasionally I also get a small rectangle picked up by the mouse
- cursor which then moves with the mouse cursor for a while and then
- disappears.
-
- My first thought was that it was a driver problem but after a few calls
- to Orchid, they claim the problem is with the mother board chipset and
- that UMC is working on it.
-
- While not overly suspicious, I'd like to hear from other people with
- this video card. Can you run in all modes, particularly 1024x768x256
- and not have the above problem?
-
- Incidently, the people at Orchid have been quite helpful and the card
- is very fast.
