- Just a few months ago, I purchased a 486 from Centrix Computers. The
- machine has worked flawlessly since day one. Unfortunately, this past
- week I received a notice from Nationwide (the company that does the
- on-site maint.) that Centrix has gone out of business... BUT Nationwide
- would be glad to sell me another service contract.
-
- My questions:
-
- 1. Doesn't Nationwide have to honor the rest of the original service
- contract?
-
- 2. Renewal of the contract is rather steep. Would it be worth it to
- renew? The computer is working fine so far.
-
- 3. Would the manufacturers of the name brand peripherals (Mag monitor,
- Diamond video, etc.) included with the system honor their factory
- warranties?
-
- 4. Just what happened to Centrix anyway? I have had no problems with
- their stuff and I was surprised to see them go.
-
- Any information would be greatly appreciated.
