- I am considering getting a laptop for long overseas flights. If I recall,
- battery life is at best 4 hours. I will be doing simple text entry, so
- I could boot DOS from a floppy and use the DOS editor or equivalent. This
- would allow me to disconnect the HDD, which must be a drain on the battery.

- So, netters, what percent gain should on expect from this schenanigan? I
- realize that the CPU, and cooling fan, etc. will still be a drain, but would
- I get and extra hour or 2 of battery life?
