  25. I have an identical Micronics motherboard (386/25 no cache). 
  26. According to my manual, you are supposed to set jumpers W98
  27. and W100 (next to the 32-bit memory slot) to pins 1 & 2 for
  28. 256K SIMMs, and 2 & 3 for 1M SIMMs.  I never put 256K SIMMs
  29. on the board, so what the manual says is the extent of my 
  30. experience.  My motherboard is revision D3.
