I have used the Dell Ultrascan 15FS with the 486P/33 on-board graphics. The display is not too bad at 1024x768 (256 colours) at 70 Hz vertical refresh rate non-interlaced. *some* flicker is detectable by some people who view the screen.
Not *too* annoying though.
The horiz & vert screen placement controls allow the picture to be spread out to the extremes of left & right, but not quite to such an extent vertically. There is some distortion at these extreme settings - the vertical edge is curved, and the windows root colour has some sort of fringing effect.
I use the PC to run HCL eXceed/W X11 server to connect to Sun Sparc systems via Sun PC-NFS over Ethernet. Performance is quite good, but not quite as good as a Sparc IPC (although PC has DOS and 8 Mb memory, IPC has SunOS 4.1.3 and 24 Mb memory...)
