- Hi,
-
- Around here we have some HP 700/RX X terminals with the BW monitor,
- 98774A, after some time the screen grew dimmer and dimmer, it was
- almost unusable. I called HP and reported the problem, they came over
- and readjusted the internal controls of the screen.
-
- Now I'm just waiting till I have to call them again, they can't
- mess with the adjustments anymore and have to get us some new
- monitors.
-
- It was reported in the net that HP replaced the 98774A's with 98774B's
- but our local HP office say they don't know nothing about it.
-
- On the funny side, the first time I reported the problem to HP I
- mentioned some kind of "brightness problem", guess what ... They
- didn't fix the monitors because the real problem was lack of contrast.
