- In a previous article, cd827@cleveland.Freenet.Edu (Jeffrey J. McWilliams) says:
-
- >Yes, I went hunting for Joe back in November for this program and B&C
- >said they just sold out. They said they didn't sell very many
- >though, maybe one a month if they were lucky. There are still some parties
- >out there that I know of who would like to see the rights to turbofile
- >purchased or gotten somehow. It's the best database program I know,
- >especially when it comes to giving your drive a workout. (grin!).
-
- That's too bad they've pulled such an attitude, it seems to me they used to
- be famous for their support. I remember when I bought and registered for
- Turboword, they replied with a nice, personalized letter responding to most
- of the complaints I had with the program. Later, they sent the Turboword+
- update disk free of charge.
-
- Then again, I really disliked the editor itself, and I never went back to
- it once I bought AtariWriter 80.
-
- Are you talking about Turbofile being such a great database, or Turbobase?
- I thought Turbobase was their original, high powered product, and Turbofile
- was the stripped down version meant to work with the new Turboword product.
