-
- How are Finder Extensions accessed, if installed in this manner? Do they
- show up in the menu bar of other desktop programs?
-
- I have installed SYS 6.0 onto my ROMDisk (Ramkeeper) but put the Finder on
- my harddisk and used Setstart to run it from there. It may seem like a
- strange setup but I usually boot into ProDOS (since most of my time is
- spent on Appleworks or ProTERM) and only run GS/OS when necessary. Having
- my system setup this way gets me up and running most expeditiously and
- preserves space on my ROMDisk for other things (like Timeout applications).
- However, to get the Finder "Extras" to show up I had to move the folder
- onto the harddrive and in the same directory as the Finder. If I left it
- in my system.setup folder on the ROMDisk the "Extras" item never appeared.
