  12.   I have now been trying for quite some time to connect a Maxtor
  13. Tahiti 1 magneto-optical disk drive to our Apollos. So far, without
  14. success. All I could do is make scsi_info actually find the drive.
  15. But invol claims "no controller found", and mount says "device busy".
  16. It just seems impossible...

  18.   Yesterday, I plugged the drive into our DEC -- and it worked on
  19. first try (well, almost -- but it is fairly easy). So much for HP's
  20. conception of an "open system"...
