- There are two independent drivers sharing one physical device. It is not
- the physical device that is sending the diskinserted/diskremoved messages,
- but the drivers themselves. One of the two drivers will not be able to
- recognize the disk and post it as a bad disk. Looking at the workbench
- shows this fairly clearly.

- I expect it would be possible to dismount a volume such as df0: by removing
- the driver. I also think you could disable df0: (via the boot menu in 2.x)
- and still utilize the device physically by mounting drivers that use unit 0
- (i.e. a pc0: driver.)
- If it's not possible now, at least don't assume that it will never
- be possible.
