- Considering you can buy a board for an Amiga for $9000 that will give you 2x
- the power of a $200,000 SGI Workstation, yup, id say the Amiga is a wise
- decision..
-
-
- All Amigas are NTSC-capable, meaning you can dump video straight to a VHS deck,
- or whatever recording medium you want. The Amiga also holds claim to perhaps
- the beefiest 3D software selection of any personal computer. Yes, ive used
- Topas 4.0, and ive used Autodesk's 3DStudio.. both are rather weak in
- comparrison to programs like Caligari and Lightwave for the Amiga, which not
- only give you some pretty BIG bangs for the buck, but often get the job done
- with MUCH higher quality than the two MSDOS packages I just mentioned.
-
- Find somebody with a good stash of eurodemos if you want to see how fast an
- Amiga can rack out graphics.. Ive seen demos of 200 solid-polygon faced
- glenz-vectors rotating, resizing, expanding and contracting at 30 frames per
- second..
