  31. Could you please post again (or mail me) with some more information about the
  32. problem with modulator chips, please?

  34. I got an A1200 at Christmas, fitted it with a hard drive myself
  35. (thus invalidating my warrenty), then the modulator flickered 
  36. between colour and black and white, and eventually died.

  38. Since I broke the warrenty seals, I didn't bother contacting Commodore
  39. to see if they'd repair it. I took it to a computer repair center,
  40. who refused to fix it because they couldn't get hold of the chip.

  42. But if it's a design fault of some sort, and you seem to imply there
  43. have been lots of problems with modulator chips, then maybe Commodore 
  44. should be responsible for the repair of it anyway?
