- I agree with Bob totally. My local dealers have had no difficulty in
- supplying RISC OS 3.1 upgrades for A5000s and other machines. I have
- bought a number of upgrade packs myself.
-
- It is in Norwich Computer Services' commercial interests to make out that
- it's all Acorn's fault and that no upgrade packs exist - just as it was in
- their commercial interests to announce the upgrades before Acorn had even
- done so, and long before anyone else did. Thus there are still some very
- loyal (or very stupid) people who are still waiting for Norwich Computer
- Services to supply. There are fewer upgrade packs generally available than
- would be desirable, but I'm sure that Acorn is doing everything possible
- to get as many packs out into the field as they can.
-
- I find Archive magazine interesting, and have received excellent service
- from Norwich Computer Services, but they aren't doing themselves any
- favours on this occasion, especially when they advocate customers
- telephoning Acorn's switchboard to complain.
