- >(NCS charge more than other companies as well, because they add on postage).
-
- But even Beebug have commented (in the latest Risc User) about the
- lack of A5000 upgrades, and for them to have a waiting list still
- (remember it was Beebug who had the massive pile of RO2-RO3 upgrades
- at the BAU Show, which was probably before NCS had received their
- first one.) must mean that there is some shortage.
-
- Personally I get the impression Acorn are hoping that the majority of
- A5000 owners get so pissed off waiting for the #20 bug fix, that they
- go out and get the #50 full release instead - it's the only
- explanation that makes any sence (as I've said before it can't be due
- to lack of supply of ANY of the parts).
-
- (*Interesting thought* Perhapse I coul;d buy the full #50 job, send
- Acorn the bits that don't apply to be (ie. manual) and charge them #30
- for it :-) :-) :-) )

- Be patient. We were promised this over a year ago. Wow what a service.
- (You may get the impreesion Acorn aren't in my good books at the
- moment). And don't say "Oh the RO3.1 upgrade offers little to the
- RO3.0 user" because that now doesn't wash, as I already have a piece
- of RO3.1 software I CAN'T USE because it only works with 3.1 (or later
- :-) ).
-
- And if Acorn arn't going to produce any more packs for the A5000 this
- STINKS. It is obviosly the case that there are many long suffering
- A5000 owners who havn't got their upgrade yet, so either there is one
- lucky supplier in the whole world who's got piles of the things (and
- isn't telling anyone) or (as I say above) Acorn are just hoping to
- make more money.
-
- COME ON ACORN, GET YOUR FU**ING ACT TOGETHER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- I'M STARTING TO GET A LITTLE MORE THAN PI**ED OFF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
- Now let's just see, Dave Kennard is number 99 in NCS's queue, and I
- (two weeks ago) was number 3. I'm still waiting, that means that
- supply is less than 2 a week (probably 0.000000001 average), thus -
- gosh perhapse in two more years (certainly more than 1)........
-
- Ian
-
- P.S. Perhaps one of my 'steaming' letters to Acorn is called for. I
- havn't written one of those in years, could be fun...........
