- [various bits about the Acorn 3Dicons]

- The Acorn 3Dicons look quite attractive. For those people who have not
- seen them (they are being previewed at BETT '93), here is a brief
- description:
-
- Acorn has produced a modified version of !SetIcons called !3Dicons.
- This has a revised frontend, which allows the user to choose from
- a selection of different 'textured' backdrops - for example, some of
- them look like the surface of a brick wall (but in grey).
-
- The toolsprites and sliders are also textured, but to a lesser degree,
- and there are also some new high resolution sprites for the Switcher,
- disc drive icons etc.
-
- Acorn has demonstrated them to the public at various Acorn Open Days &
- the BETT Show, and BBC Acorn User magazine has also commented on them,
- so the response which "Titch" received is quite illuminating. I have even
- heard the story that there is a PD library which is distributing them,
- although I have no more information than that, so it may be completely
- untrue. The only time I have seen them is running on Acorn machines at
- the BETT Show.
