- Hello all!
-
- First of all, thanks to all those people who responded
- to my first request for help. It really...um...helped. :)
- I've got it working at 38400 baud over a normal serial line.
- I've also got two Microcom QX/4232 bis modems, that are capable
- of 38400 baud...NOW. I've gotten PPP to work over the modems
- at 9600 baud, but now that I've kicked to speed of the modems
- up, the connection is made and PPP is started, and the
- two sides begin to talk to each other, but then both
- modems disconnect. Has this happened to anyone else before?
- It would seem like PPP is sending something that the modems
- interpret as "oh hey! Im supposed to hang up." Does anyone
- have any experience with Microcom modems? Also, is there
- any way to get the serial ports up to ~56K? Any help would
- be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks!
