  13. A group of us would very much like to set up our OS/2 2.x (currently 2.0
  14. GA + CSD) machines with MS Lan Manager 2.1a running NetBEUI and TCP/IP.
  15. So far no problem. We also want to use the IBM TCP/IP 1.2.1 ARPA 
  16. services such as X window server, NFS server, FTP, TELNET, etc. That's
  17. the problem. The two don't seem to work together.

  19. Presently, we are running IBM Lan Server 3.0 with IBM TCP/IP 1.2.1. 
  20. Unfortunately, Lan Server doesn't allow to net share with some
  21. of our servers running UNIX TCP/IP. Hence our need for Lan Manager.

  23. To summarize our needs:
  24. a) ARPA services over TCP/IP
  25. b) Lan Manager over TCP/IP
  26. c) Lan Manager over NetBEUI
  27.  
  28. Questions:
  29. 1) Does anyone know how to get IBM TCP/IP ARPA services to 
  30. communicate (i.e. work) with Lan Manager 2.1a?
  31.  
  32. 2) Is there an alternate way or product to buy that would allow us
  33. to achieve our goal?
