- The Adaptec 1742 drivers on Hobbes have a later date than those supplied
- with the GA release.
-
- 1. Are they better drivers? Will I notice a difference?
- 2. How do I go about installing them? A simple change in the
- config.sys?

- Is there a way to increase the hard disk cache? My system has 16MB RAM and
- still hits the HD more than I like. Admittedly, this is when I am running
- Paradox 4.0, WordPerfect 5.1 and Darklands. The last is the culprit, I
- think. When inspecting a group of characters, Darklands seems to hit the
- disk a lot. When I was still using DOS, I upped my PCTools cache and
- stopped this.
-
-
- I have ben happily *using* OS/2 for four or five months without problems.
