- When attempting to run a DOS program on drive C: which has native
- DOS 5.0 installed from an OS/2 session on drive D:, it appears
- that the DOS 5.0 command.com program located in the C: root
- directory rather than the command.com in D:\OS2\MDOS. That is
- the only reason that the message "Incorrect DOS version"
- appears.
-
- It also seems strange to me that when checking the settings
- for D:\autoexec.bat that it's startup batch file is
- D:\autoexec.bat. When changing this setting to nothing and
- attempting to start a full screen DOS session, the machine
- immediately hung up with the (probably now infamous)
- error at location ##060:fff60697 - 000d:9967.

- Any attempt at using a different startup batch file for any
- DOS session that has been tried so far has been a failure.
-
- Disk is partitioned and loaded as follows:
- Boot Manager
- C:\ Primary (DOS 5.0 FAT)
- D:\ OS/2.1 Logical
- E:\ OS/2 Swapfile & Spooler and some APPS
- F:\ OS/2 CSET/2 beta tools
- ... (Logical drive free space)
-
- Maybe some IBMer will be kind enough to send this on to the
- appropriate OS/2 area. I don't have the location of the
- current email address for IBM OS/2 problems.A
-
- Anyone have any ideas on how to make a DOS program on drive C:
- work properly from an OS/2.1 session? I am running out of ideas.
-
- Thanks in advance,
- Gary
