  29. First I'm running the normal GA release with the patch for the swapper
  30. file.  CHKDSK /F:3 run during the boot up after a nasty crash does some
  31. repair to the hpfs partition (or something), at least according to the 
  32. IBM rep.  he told me that I when CHKDSK is counting the percent complete and
  33. pauses for a while it is repairing a problem.  he then described the minor
  34. problems as layered on the disk so one pass will get rid of the top layer,
  35. and then the next run will get rid of the next layer, etc.etc, and that I 
  36. should run it until I don't have the delays any longer.  I tried several times
  37. but ran out of time, and it still had the pauses...so I dont know.
