- First I'm running the normal GA release with the patch for the swapper
- file. CHKDSK /F:3 run during the boot up after a nasty crash does some
- repair to the hpfs partition (or something), at least according to the
- IBM rep. he told me that I when CHKDSK is counting the percent complete and
- pauses for a while it is repairing a problem. he then described the minor
- problems as layered on the disk so one pass will get rid of the top layer,
- and then the next run will get rid of the next layer, etc.etc, and that I
- should run it until I don't have the delays any longer. I tried several times
- but ran out of time, and it still had the pauses...so I dont know.
