- Hi all,
- I have a PLI scsi drive with removable 40 meg platters, Works ok under
- dos and os2 but........ I am using a Future Domain quick scsi card in
- both my dos and os2 machines and they are not compatible because the os2
- driver thinks the bloody removable hard disk is a 2.88 meg FD and it
- does not format the platter so it can be read on both dos and os2
- machines.
- When are the suppliers of these devices going to get it right, enquiries
- through my supplier says that Future Domain said 'Thats the way it is ,
- so stiff'. You can get a scsi driver for the mac which gives u the
- option of formatting in various modes including DOS, WHY cant Future
- domain write the driver so u have the option of HPFS format, DOS
- format(FAT) etc etc etc....
- The problem is the standard scsi drivers for OS2 are Future Domain so
- IBM use your clout and get these people of the butts and come up with a
- GUI driver that is true GUI with proper options, or get anther supplier
- of SCSI drivers for OS2.
