- I have the GA+SP running on a computer with 20MB installed (I also use
- an Adaptec 1542B, so maybe I can only use 16MB as real RAM other than swap
- space). Right after booting the system, I open an OS/2 window and call
- memstat, which reports the largest continuous block of memory as only about
- 5-6MB! Why is OS/2 fragmenting its memory like that? I don't load anything
- unusual in config.sys (except for SCSI Tape support and quite a few environment
- variabes), so there must be more memory available.
-
- Is there anything like a memory-defragmenter, or at least a program that
- can show me which drivers and programs are where in memory?
-
- Any help will be appreciated.
