  18. yet (I used to run DOS+QEMM+DV, but OS/2 is much better).

  22. 2.0 is okay, but 2.1 is better.  You can use the beta now, or wait a couple
  23. of months and get the real thing.

  28. If you call 800-3IBMOS2 you can order a beta.  Last time I checked they were
  29. out of stock.

  33. OS/2 really uses your whole computer - it doesn't let the CPU sit in
  34. brain-dead 8086-emulation mode.  If you bought a Ferrari, would you put gas
  35. in it that caused all but 2 cylinders to go dead?  Nahhh.

  37. Running more than one program at a time is EASY under OS/2.  Right now, I'm
  38. online to a *IX system at 9600bps, and I'm downloading from another BBS at
  39. 14.4Kbps.  At the same time I'm installing an OS/2 program, running a
  40. windows program, and unzipping files at the command line.  It keeps you
  41. busy, but you'll never have to wait for your software again - if something
  42. is going to take some time, crack open another program and do something else
  43. until the first program is finished.

  45. It's also an excellent software development platform.  If you can get the
  46. C-Developer's Workset/2 package, you'll be able to write 32-bit software and
  47. really go wild!
