  16. For some reason,the system doesn't re-read the directory of 
  17. my B: drive (5.25 in) when I switch floppies.  This happened
  18. when I was recently trying to install a program and it wouldn't
  19. recognize the disk I put in when it asked "Insert disk #2 in
  20. drive B: and press Enter."  There is no problem (that I know 
  21. of) with the 1.44MB floppy drive.

  23. Is there some CONFIG.SYS setting I can play with to fix this?
  24. I recall that, in old evil DOS, there was a DRVPARM setting 
  25. that I might try fooling with, but I don't see that in OS/2.
  26. My CONFIG.SYS already contains the
  27.     BASEDEV=IBM1FLPY.ADD 
  28. line.  Could this be a problem with one of the caches that OS/2 
  29. sets up?

  31. Any help with this would be appreciated.  You can imagine what
  32. a pain it is not to be able to install any software that comes
  33. on 5.25" drives.  Even copying to 3.5" floppies requires a 
  34. reboot between each disk.
