- 1) boot from installation disk and press escape at menu after disk one
- has been read - this drops you into a shell.
-
- 2) once you've fixed things use SE20BOOT to make a boot floppy to
- speed this up slightly (and avoid havinf to get your installation
- disks out each time)
-
- 3) a tip i picked up from here, make a small (2Mb is ok) partition
- and use SE20BOOT to install boot system on it and add it to boot manager
- menu, then you can boot a quick OS/2 command shell for debugging
- from hard disk.
-
- N.b. if you use any of the HPFS disks in one of these modes then since
- you can't shutdown cleanly it will run the disk check when you next
- boot - I gather there is a shutdown emulator on hobbes that fixes this.
