- For the printer: The Print Manager is not loaded in the WIN.INI file so I
- think that WIN-OS/2 was designed to load the print manager automatically.
- Try shutting off the print spooling by changing the Spooler=yes line in the
- WIN.INI --or-- un-checking the "Use Print Spooler" box in the Printers
- section of the control panel. I have not tried this, but I assume that
- WIN-OS/2 may know not to load up the print spooler program when print
- spooling is disabled.
-
- For the TrueType fonts: Select Fonts in the control panel and just delete the
- TrueType fonts (denoted by (TrueType) in the list...like Ariel and
- WingDings). An additional window should pop up and ask you if you want to
- delete the fonts, and click the Delete File From Disk box. This should
- delete the files. If this box does not exist (it does in TRUE Windows 3.1...
- I haven't check WIN-OS/2 3.1 cuz I kept the TTF's), then delete the TTF and
- FOT files after removing their counterparts from the Fonts Control Panel.
-
- Hope this helps
