  10. With the 2.1 beta one can assign file-extensions to certain program-
  11. objects. The effect is twofold, firstly the first associated program
  12. icon will be shown for all files meeting the search-criteria, secondly
  13. if you double-click on it the default program will be executed (or
  14. you can use the object-property-pop-up with MB2 and choose another
  15. program from the Open-settings).

  17. The little bug I referred to in the subject line is as follows: if
  18. an association took place already and if I change the icon of the
  19. program-object, the *new* icon will not be propagated thru to the files.
  20. Therefore a changed icon will not be reflected in the associated files, unless
  21. you reboot OS/2.

  23. E.g. Asscociate the PMGIF-viewer with files of extension "*.gif". Thereafter
  24. look GIF-files up with the drive-object. Change the appearence of PMGIF.EXE's
  25. icon. Refresh the drive-object - no changes take effect with the 2.1beta.
  26. Booting OS/2 causes the icons to take the new appearence.
