- We are thinking of using a commercial C++ library for an upcoming
- project, and Zinc and zApp are the two leading contenders. I would
- like to hear from someone who has actual project experience using
- *both* products (if such a person exists...). Can you give the
- strengths and weaknesses of each, and which:
-
- - did you prefer to use?
- - had more capability (and in which areas)?
- - was more extensible once your design runs past the
- capabilities of the class library
-
- My impression of Zinc, at least, is that it would be a good fit to an
- MIS product, but I found it hard to believe that you could build a
- robust commercial-quality application on top of it. zApp's demo
- program seems quite poor, but it seems to get good reviews.
