- I think I can reduce my earlier question about the font modes to this one:

- What BIOS calls do you need to make so that a VGA or SVGA card will respond
- like an EGA? I know that VGA etc. can simulate the EGA cards, which would
- be perfect?

- Also: How do I detect if a card is already in EGA mode? I assume that if
- I send the "go to EGA mode" command to an EGA card something bad will
- happen...
