  12. I think I can reduce my earlier question about the font modes to this one:

  14. What BIOS calls do you need to make so that a VGA or SVGA card will respond
  15. like an EGA?  I know that VGA etc. can simulate the EGA cards, which would
  16. be perfect?

  18. Also:  How do I detect if a card is already in EGA mode?  I assume that if
  19.        I send the "go to EGA mode" command to an EGA card something bad will
  20.        happen...
