- Hi,
- I have been running linux for a while now and have never had any problems
- with compiling a new kernel. (Well, at least none that weren't mentioned
- on the net within the next 24 hours). Therefore, I am quite stymefied
- at the behavior of my system when upgrading to 0.99.[34].
-
- Problem: 0.99.2 works without problems.
-
- Both 0.99.3 and 0.99.4 boot up okay and seem to work fine. However, after
- running for anything from a couple of minutes to half a day my machine
- simply locks up. I have no idea what does it and can't reproduce the
- error. The keyboard doesn't work any more and the whole system is halted.
-
- Symptoms: 0.99.4 seems to hold out longer than patch 3. It happens even
- if I don't touch the keyboard for a long time. The only activity of the system
- is running UUCP and calling up my feed. Could it be the serial driver?
- What does the new keyboard flag mean? I just use the default for it?
-
- Thanks,
- Jacky
