- The 'somewhere' is probably being added by your 'rmail'. [Do a 'strings'
- on 'rmail' to see if you can find this string.]
-
- Rmail needs to find the sender address. It looks in the "From " line
- at the top of the message. It is expectin
- either
-
- From address date/time/info remote from host
-
- or
-
- From host!address date/time/info
-
- Instead it found "From user@host ..." which it does not understand. Thus
- it invented the hostname of 'somewhere'.
-
- Your real problem is with the host from which you are receiving these
- messages. It is not meeting the UUCP standards for the "From " line.
- There are newer versions of 'rmail' which may help solve the problem,
- although strictly speaking it is not your problem.
