I concur with Dr. Hall's comments.  Within the public Education system, we are
seeing E-Mail used in more schools for both research and communications between
colleagues.  Administrators are encouraging the use of E-Mail among their
employees and, in some cases, are investing time and money to promote its use.
There are currently several teachers in central Ohio who have been named
"Clinical Educators."  Their salaries are subsidized by both their own schools
and Ohio State University in order to buy half their teaching time, which is
used to promote new concepts at the designated professional development sites.
E-Mail is an important part of that process as Clinical Educators communicate
with each other and the world.  They are "expected" to use E-Mail for part of
their day.  The PDS program might be successful without E-Mail, but the range
of its success would be limited and duplication of effort would hamper the
progress over several years.
