  13. All that is either very old or very inaccurate or both.
  14.  - Any IBMer can register for Internet with no permission whatever.
  15.  - The postmaster@ibm.com is a good friend of mine :-)  I know he answers
  16.    all mail;  but it is true, there was a time when mail there got
  17.    erratic response  (> 18 months ago)
  18.  - There still have been NO layoffs;  some 40,000 people have taken
  19.    incentives to leave and a very few fired for cause but that's it.
  20.    So far.  There's been plenty written about individual business units
  21.    and the "Full Employment" policy in 1993, so it IS subject to change.
