- All that is either very old or very inaccurate or both.
- - Any IBMer can register for Internet with no permission whatever.
- - The postmaster@ibm.com is a good friend of mine :-) I know he answers
- all mail; but it is true, there was a time when mail there got
- erratic response (> 18 months ago)
- - There still have been NO layoffs; some 40,000 people have taken
- incentives to leave and a very few fired for cause but that's it.
- So far. There's been plenty written about individual business units
- and the "Full Employment" policy in 1993, so it IS subject to change.
