  17. We have obtained a software product for system level design (well, uh, it's
  18. more like a finite state machine designer capable of generating VHDL code).
  19. This product incorporates a simulator which unfortunately is only text-based
  20. which means it writes signal values, state changes etc. onto standard output
  21. but does not provide any other means of visualisation.

  23. What we would like to have is a kind of X11 based waveform visualizer which
  24. takes the textual simulation output as input and displays it as waveforms
  25. in an X11 window.

  27. Does anybody know if there is such a product available which is easily
  28. configurable to our needs and possibly free of charges?
