- trex.iro.umontreal.ca suffered a disk crash and therefore the ftp directory
- with gambit has gone. it'll be restored in a few WEEKS.
- if you want you may get gambit for the mac, with full sources, and the thomas
- system from SABRINA.DEI.UNIPD.IT (IP number 147.162.2.106) by anonymous ftp,
- in the pub/mac directory. I have put them there today to allow other people
- download it. It's even newer than the one at stanford.

- PS as for MacScheme from Lightship, there is an enormous difference between
- the full version and the student editions, which does not even have a compiler.
- moreover the technology behind gambit's compiler is probably the best for
- scheme up to date. and yes, you can generate stand alone applications, even
- though this side is still quite crude. I am a gambit fanatic.
