- I'm interested in information about removing haze (ie. the out of focus
- portions) of sectioned microscope data images. In other words, I have a
- 'stack' of images of a semi-transparent sample:
-
-
- --------------------------- image 1
- --------------------------- image 2 section images separated
- --------------------------- image 3 by constant distance
- --------------------------- image 4 (eg. 2um)
- --------------------------- image 5
- --------------------------- image 6
- .
- .
- .
-
- and for image 3 I want to remove the out of focus haze by taking into
- account the effect of image 2 and image 4, etc., and the optical
- characteristics of my microscope. I know of commercial packages that
- will do this (eg. VayTek HazeBuster), but I was wondering if anyone's
- done something like this with Khoros, or some other image processing
- package.
-
- Alteratively, if anyone has any reference suggestions (books, journals)
- that talk about the the filtering techniques involved, I'd appreciate
- hearing from you too.
-
- Please respond by email
-
- Thanks!
