  20. In the POVLEGAL.DOC file included with POV-Ray, it says:

  22.    "This package may not be compiled and distributed, modified or not,
  23.     without the written permission of the POV-Team.  The user is
  24.     granted the privilege to compile the source for their own personal
  25.     use.  Executables created by the user from source included in the
  26.     source archive may not, under any circumstances, be distributed
  27.     without the written permission of the POV-Team."

  29. We've had quite a few problems with people re-compiling the POV-Ray
  30. source without fully testing it and distributing buggy versions of it.
  31. The result is that we get bombarded by messages from users of these
  32. versions complaining that it doesn't work.

  34. Please remove any unauthorized versions of POV-Ray from any FTP sites.
